Majingus Method
The Majingus Method
Made For: Vandal Game Jam 7
Objective:
The goal of Scarps is to earn the most points by strategically placing your holodice.
Gameplay:
1. Placement of Dice:
- Players take turns placing holodice on the game board. Dice can be placed in any open space on the board.
2. Scoring Points:
- When a player places dice, they should aim to stack dice with the same number in the same column.
- Points are calculated based on the number of identical dice in a column:
- If there are two dice with the same number in a column, calculate the score as follows:
- Example: Two 3's = [3 + 3] x 2 = 6 points.
- If there are three dice with the same number in a column, the score would be:
- Example: Three 3's = [3 + 3 + 3] x 3 = 9 points.
3. Attacking Opponent:
- Players can place dice on their opponent's side to "attack."
- To do this, there must be an open space available for your die.
- Attacking allows you to destroy one of your opponent's dice in a selected column.
4. Upgrading Dice:
- Players can upgrade their dice to enhance their score.
- If a die receives a +1 upgrade and is part of a scoring combination:
- Example: For the previous example with two 3's, if one of the dice is upgraded, the score will be:
- [3 + 3 + 1] x 2 = 7 points.
Winning the Game:
- The game ends when a player has all their columns filled. The player with the highest total score wins.
